Its main use is for piping as it is more effective that copper, iron, wood in pipe and pipeline construction and implementation – in fact there is probably a PVC pipe network running somewhere near you right at this moment! have also been known as 'vinyl' when used as flooring or a covering for surfaces. PVC's waterproof and rigid qualities allow it to be used for other applications such electric cable housing, playground equipment, signs, covers and fume cupboards.
